Studying the flow and directional movement of fabric, these studies explore how to mimic the appearance of the materials. Some studies used plaster-dipped cotton that I manipulated, draped, and layered, and others were done solely in ceramic stoneware. Using a torso as the base, I wanted to sculpt an emphasised appearance of fabric flowing down and across the body. I also did smaller studies to practice this technique.
