About Me

IMG_3175_edited.jpg

I am a young, disabled, and queer artist from the UK. I am progressing towards my BA Hons in Fine Art. Recently, I have been working across a variety of mediums and creative pathways rather than sticking to one style or practice. This website will act as my Professional Portfolio for my work and recent creative adventures. My work is also available for purchase in the shop.

As a studying creative practitioner, I attempt to bridge the disconnection we have from nature through multimedia approaches. Rooted in my collaboration with the local and wider environment, my work explores the continuously evolving agency and abilities of non-human entities. Sustainability and authenticity are integral to my practice. Seeking to create welcoming spaces for community, nature and the other, I engage with multidisciplinary approaches that aim to merge fine art with social engagement, the environment, and sensory experiences. I find this approach to be the provider of the intrigue and fantastical themes that engage viewers and encourage reflection.

Through the expanded practices I incorporate into everyday life, I challenge conventional artistic boundaries, using art as a medium for communication, emotional expression, and social change. From interactive installations and sculptural work to small-scale details or 2D media, I aim to bridge the disconnection from nature and others, amplifying voices and cultivating environments where individuals of all abilities can thrive. By varying the format of my work, I allow myself time and space to adequately approach each theme, ensuring they are appropriately represented, enabling the viewer to connect with the themes and form their own relationship with the work. It is especially important to me that each theme is addressed individually and given space to breathe, so that each viewer can see the work as its own entity.

Utilising natural materials is especially important to me, and I strive to create work that is sustainable and ethical, often made of or directly inspired by the beautiful natural elements around us. I prefer to create work in series and collections, as this allows the communication and representation of each concept in various possible ways. My long-term vision extends beyond the gallery, aspiring to build a creative sanctuary for others; an inclusive space where art, nature, and enrichment activities foster confidence, connection, and growth. As I continue my journey, I remain committed to using my sustainable practice as a form of personal expression and as a means to nurture resilience, accessibility, and joy for others.
